TGA test
Thermogravimetric experiment of mineral powder

Experimental significance:
Mineral powder, as an important industrial raw material, is widely used in building materials, metallurgy, chemical industry and other fields. The mineral powder used in this experiment comes from a specific mining area, and its composition may contain a variety of minerals, which may undergo different physical or chemical changes under different temperature conditions, resulting in changes in quality.

In this experiment, thermogravimetric analyzer BXT-TGA-1250 was used for testing.
The aim is to study the thermogravimetric behavior of mineral powder at different temperature intervals by thermogravimetric analysis, and to reveal the change law of its internal composition.

Through the TGA test results, it can be seen that the ore powder sample has four stages of weight loss reaction during the heating process.
1. The first stage of weight loss reaction occurs at 60.28~400.39℃, and the weight loss rate is 0.74%;

2. The second stage of weight loss reaction occurred at 400.39~530.31℃, and the weight loss rate was 8.21%;

3. The third stage of weight loss reaction occurred at 530.31~590.27℃, and the weight loss rate was 1.66%;

4. The fourth stage of weight loss reaction occurred at 590.27~845.27℃, and the weight loss rate was 6.71%.

Sum up

To sum up, the thermal stability of mineral powder has been successfully characterized by using the BXT-TGA-1250 instrument of Huicheng in this experiment. The results show that the mineral powder exhibits good thermal stability in the temperature range of up to 1000℃, and only experiences a small mass loss. Therefore, it is ideal for industrial applications that require high-temperature environments.
